2. Job Sanders, second son of William and Mary Sanders.

Job Sanders was baptised at St Andrews, Enfield, on May 9, 1790, the second son of William and Mary Sanders. His existence came as a surprise to me, as previous to Ancestry's brilliant releasing of London records this year, the only indication I had re. William Sanders' children were those named in his will of 1819. Because Job had died in 1817, his name of course was not mentioned.
In 1810, at the age of twenty years, Job Sanders married Rachel Hankins at All Saints, Edmonton. Four daughters followed in the following seven years:
Sarah Sanders born May 1, 1811. Baptised September 22, 1811, St. Andrews, Enfield, the daughter of Job and Rachael Sanders. Sarah Sanders was buried April 29, 1818, St. Andrews, Enfield, aged 7 years. Daughter of the late Job Sanders, Bulls Cross, Enfield, a gardener.
Eliza Sanders baptised May 16, 1813, St. Andrews, Enfield.Daughter of Job Sanders, gardener, of Bush Hill by Enfield, and Rachel.
Mary Anne Sanders baptised June 4, 1815, St. Andrews, Enfield. Daughter of Job Sanders, a gardener, of Bulls Cross, Enfield, and Rachel. Mary Anne died at the age of 2 1/2 years. She was buried at St. Andrews, Enfield, on October 19, 1817. The burial record noted that she was the daughter of the late Job Sanders of Bulls Cross, Enfield, gardener.
Alicia Sanders baptised September 7, 1817. Born August 17, 1817, daughter of the late Job Sanders, a labourer of Bulls Cross, and Rachel.
I can't find what happened to poor Rachel and her two surviving daughters after the death of Job. It was a hellish year fro Rachel...whilst pregnant with her fourth daughter, she first lost her husband Job in May 1817; gave birth to daughter Alicia three months later in August; suffered the death of toddler Mary Ann in October, and finally the following year lost her eldest daughter, seven year old Sarah.
She does not appear in any of the census returns, or death or marriage indexes, nor do her daughters Alicia and Eliza. I will have to put her on the back burner for the present and move on to her sister-in-law, Mary Anne Sanders.
