Jane Draper's Siblings- 1. Henry Draper.


As can be seen above from the baptismal entry from the parish records of St. Andrews, Enfield, Henry Draper, the elder of Jane Draper's two brothers, was born at Chase Side, Enfield, on June 16, 1813.
Like his father David Draper, Henry became a cordwainer/ shoemaker. He married very late in life, at the age of 52. Up until that point, we can follow him through the census returns:

On February 21, 1866, at St. Leonard Shoreditch, Henry Draper was finally married:-

Rebecca was the daughter of Alexander Savill and Sarah Perry. She had been born in Edmonton, but in the 1840s her family relocated to Chase Green, Enfield, where her father became a milk man.
Rebecca was heavily pregnant when she married Henry Draper, her daughter being born the month after their wedding.
Sarah Jane Draper(often referred to as 'Jane') was born on March 26, 1866. She was baptised on March 26, 1869, at St. Andrews, Enfield. On the same day her sister Louisa was baptised. She had been born on June 11, 1867.
One more child was born to Henry and Rebecca. Their only son, David Henry Draper, was born on April 5, 1873. He was baptised on May 4, 1873, at St. Andrews, Enfield. At the time of his birth, his mother Rebecca was aged 46 and his father Henry was 60.

Two houses down in this census lived Henry Draper's brother David Draper, a grocer, and his wife Mary Ann.

Four houses away in this census lived the family of Edward Sanders, Henry Draper's nephew. The son of Henry's only sister Jane, Edward was also a bootmaker.
In 1901, Henry and Rebecca were living at River Side, Chase Side, Enfield. Their spinster daughters Jane and Louisa were still living with their parents, but son David had married and was living nearby with his wife and young son Henry.

David Henry Draper's wife was Elizabeth Charlotte Wood, and they had married in 1896.
Rebecca Savill Draper died at Enfield in 1903, aged 76 years. Her husband, Henry Draper, lived for another three years. He died in 1906, aged 93 years.
In the 1911 census, I cannot locate Sarah Jane and Louisa Draper, but I did find the family of their brother, David Henry:
1911: 3 Chase Green Avenue, Enfield.
