Robinson's Mill, Windmill Hill, Enfield.

Above: Two views of Robinson's mill at Windmill Hill, Enfield, taken from the website http://www.windmillworld.com/uk/enfield.htm.
The Enfield windmill, a smock mill, was operated for many generations by the Robinson family. The mill existed by 1720, and Joseph Robinson, father of Isaac, was miller in 1826. Isaac took over from Joseph, and ran the mill with sons Josiah, Benjamin and Charles. Benjamin's son Isaac Robinson was the last miller before the mill's closure. By 1896 the Ordnanace Survey map noted the mill was disused, and in 1901 the sails were removed, before the mill was demolished in 1904.
The mill stood on Old Park Road, towards the top of Windmill Hill, nearby to the Church of St Mary Magdalene
